Guide Picks - Harry Potter Books in Spanish
The Harry Potter books have been incredibly popular, and all four of the books written to date have been translated to Spanish. You should be aware that some readers have criticized the translations as being strongly Peninsular, making it difficult for those most familiar with Latin American Spanish to understand the sometimes mystical vocabulary.
1) Harry Potter y la piedra filosofal
Harry Potter is invited to a school of wizardry in this first book of the wildly popular series. This is the translation of Harry Potter and the Philosopher's Stone (titled Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone in its U.S. version).
2) Harry Potter y la cámara secreta
Harry Potter defends the school from all sorts of nefarious characters in the second of the series. This book is Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets in English.
3) Harry Potter y el prisionero de Azkaban
Here are more adventures of Harry Potter in this third of the series. This is the Spanish translation of Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban.
4) Harry Potter y el cáliz de fuego
The last in the series as of this writing and also the longest, this is the translation of Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire.
