Gerald started studying Spanish in high school and has never stopped enjoying using the language and learning more about it. I believe one of the best things we can do to improve our understanding of other people is to learn to speak their language. Although I started learning Spanish to get school credit, and resumed my studies as an adult to learn more about Latin American politics, I have received much more than academic benefit. During travels, I have enjoyed experiences that most tourists don't have, and I have come to know people around me that I otherwise would have seen as strangers. I find Spanish to be a fascinating language, one rich in culture and history. I hope this site helps you appreciate it as well.
