Two kinds of verbs

Saturday July 1, 2006
There are several different was of classifying verbs in Spanish. We might talk about passive and active verbs, for example, or personal and impersonal verbs. One other way is to classify verbs as being either transitive or intransitive. You may have heard those terms before, but what do they mean? You can find out here (transitive) or here (intransitive). Hint: It has something to do with how well the verb expresses a complete thought.
