Guantánamo, past and present

Wednesday January 14, 2004
A recently developed multimedia special by the Argentine newspaper Clarín is a great learning tool for Spanish students beyond the beginner level. The special focuses on the history of the American naval base in Guantánamo, Cuba, and the prisoners who are housed there. A feature of the presentation that makes it particularly suitable for learners is that the narration is fairly slow — and the text narration is displayed (in Spanish). The presentation can be stopped at any time in case you need to look up any words. View Base Guantánamo: los prisioneros secretos de Bush.
