Forum login procedure changes for some

Some of the users of About's forums (also known as bulletin boards) have been logging in through the Delphi Forums login page. Although that way of logging in has not officially been supported for quite a while, there has been nothing to stop forum users from getting to About forums that way — until now. (Although About and Delphi Forums use the same forum platform, they are completely separate companies.) If you're having no problem accessing our forums, this article doesn't apply to you. But if you are, there are a number of steps you can take.

• Try logging in on this site's login page with your current Delphi Forums nickname and password. Under some circumstances, this may work, although it's not likely.
• Register with About if you haven't done so already. This will also provide you the other benefits of About membership. Important note: If you set up your About membership with the same email address you used for logging on to Delphi Forums, your existing settings should remain in effect.
• If you've registered with About previously, it's possible you have the same account name with Delphi Forums as you have with About. If that's the case, you can go to this page to retrieve your About password. The passwords for Delphi Forums and About can be and often are different.
• If none of the above steps help, write to Customer Care for assistance.

Please don't write to me asking for help getting into the forum. As much as I'd like to help, I don't have any more information than you can get by following the above steps.
