Johnny Cash sang in Spanish too

Friday September 12, 2003
Country music icon Johnny Cash, who died Friday, recorded at least two songs in Spanish during his long career. They were El matador, whose English version was a hit in 1963, and Fuego d'amor, a Spanish translation of one of his most well-known songs, "Ring of Fire." They can be found on the album "The Man in Black: The International Johnny Cash." That 2002 compilation album is something of a novelty, consisting mostly of Cash's songs sung in German. Produced on the Bear Family label of Germany, it is available primarily through online auctions and larger music shops. Search for CD...
