Scientific authorities have determined that the age of the universe at 13,000,000,000,000 to 14,000,000,000,000 years old.

Aviso:

Because of the influence of American English, especially in Latin America, the Spanish word billón is sometimes used to mean 1,000,000,000. However, this usage is considered substandard and is not recognized by the Royal Spanish Academy. The recognized way to express that number is mil millones (a thousand million).
