Welcome to the Spanish Language Bulletin Board. This is the place to learn about Spanish, have your questions about Spanish answered, converse in Spanish, or simply meet other people who enjoy one of the world's most-used languages.

There aren't too many rules other those listed in the About.com User Agreement. Just keep in mind that people of various ages, religions, political persuasions and ethnic backgrounds come here to learn or enjoy themselves. Simply avoid language or behavior that would offend others, and you'll be welcome to participate.

The languages of this bulletin board are Spanish and English. Either language may be used anywhere on the board except in the ¡Hablemos español! area, where only Spanish may be used.

In the ¡Hablemos español! category, just about any subject is on topic, since this is the place to use your Spanish in everyday conversation. The Introductions category is the place to introduce yourself and meet other bulletin board participants. In the other categories, discussion should focus on something to do with the Spanish language. For general conversation in English that has nothing to do with Spanish, check out one of the many other fine About.com bulletin boards.

  1. Q. Do I have to register to use the forums?
    A. You can enter as a guest and read posts, but you must register before you can post or answer a post that's already there. Registering is quick, simple, and free. Please join us.

  2. Q. Are there any types of posts that are prohibited here?
    A. Expressly prohibited are spam or commercial posts, flaming, use of obscene or vulgar language, personal attacks, insults directed against members of the forum, and use of copyrighted material that you do not have permission to post here. Do not post messages designed to sell something or involve anyone in a money-making proposition. Do not attempt to evade the word filters. Any post may be deleted at the forum host's discretion.

  3. Q. May I promote my product or Web site here?
    A. As with most places on the Internet, you may make your URL part of your "signature" by typing it under your name at the end of your posts, but please do not place commercial posts on the forum. They will be considered spam and be deleted.
