Definition:
A grammatical construction in which two nouns or noun phrases are placed next to each other, not joined by a conjunction such as "or" or "and," and each have the same syntactical relationship to the rest of the sentence. The two nouns or noun phrases can be, but do not have to be, separated by a comma.
