Are You Afraid?

Follow me on:

"To be afraid" can be said in Spanish using either the verb temer or the verb phrase tener miedo. Their use is straightforward once you learn which prepositions to use.

The article calls the “que” in “Temen que el caos se extienda a los territorios ocupados” a relative pronoun. It’s a conjunction — it goes with a verb, rather than modifying a noun.

Excellent catch! And in this case, it’s a subordinating conjunction. (I have edited the article since your comment.)
