See Compound Prepositions in Use

Follow me on:

Even though prepositional phrases such as cerca de and a pesar de have more than one word in them, they function much the same as single-word prepositions. You can see them in action in our newest lesson, a collection of sentences using compound prepositions.

Just a couple of typos:

I believe you mean verge, not verbe in
“50-year-old man is on the verbe of being evicted from his dwelling.”

And you mean ‘shot’ not ‘short’ in
“Arabia Saudita derribará aviones israelípes con rumbo a Irán. Saudi Arabia will short down Israeli airplanes en route to Iran”

Thanks.

RE: Sentences using compound prepositions.

And I made my own typographic error: I mean ‘shoot’, not ‘shot’.
My apologies!

My comment before ( [verbe vs. verge] and [ short vs. shoot] pertains also ‘sentences using compound prepositions’.

Again, my apologies for being error-prone.
