You probably don't have to think too hard to figure out what the Spanish abbreviations a.m. and p.m. mean. But how about d.C. and ONU, which are also very common? To find out, check out our list of the most common abbreviations you're likely to run across.

A while ago I had the idea to write two weekly serial comments with translation.

One would have been for touring around France for six months on about.com French language, and another on about.com Spanish language, having had two visits to Mexico, each lasting 6 months.

And of course I would have had the same two comments with German translation on German.about.com.

After getting e-mails from two language guides, that this type of comments is for the forum, not for the block, I now agree myself that it was not a good Idea, as it belongs wholly to m personal life. I apologize!
