Learn by Means of Mediante

Not all Spanish prepositions are as challenging to learn as por and para. In fact, one that is quite straightfoward is mediante — you can almost always translate it as "by means of." But should you? Probably not. As our lesson on mediante shows, you're better off most of the time translating it in more colloquial ways.
