Hablo español. ¿Y tú?

If you wanted to translate the headline above as "I speak Spanish. And you?" that would be perfectly acceptable. However, you might note that the y and the "and" aren't really connecting words, as those words usually are. In this case, "¿y tú? means something more like "how about you?"
