You've Heard of Tener Que, but What About Tener A?

If you read a lot of Spanish, you may come across sentences that make you scratch your head and think, "What's that word doing in there?" One sentence that might do something like that is this one I ran across recently: Adobe tiene a Flash funcionando en el iPhone. What's the a doing in there? I haven't found a grammar book yet that has the answer, but this use of a following tener is a common one.

I would say it´s a common mistake tener + a. The preposition a is used when a “animated complement” follows. In this case I just dont see why Flash should be one. However, I have heard it before.
