Meet the Volver Vamily

Like many other common verbs, the uses of volver, which typically means "to return," can be expanded by the use of prefixes. In the case of volver, however, the meanings of verbs derived from it usually aren't easy to guess, as you can learn in our lesson on volver verbs.
