Another way to use present participles

Sometimes, words don't always mean what you think they do. For example, the verb andar typically means "to walk." But in a sentence such as "Katy anda comiendo todo el día," anda doesn't really have much to do about walking. Instead, you might translate the sentence as "Katy goes about eating all day." Andar is an example of a verb that can be followed by a verb form known as the present participle or gerund. Learn more...
