Aussie singer asked to record in Spanish

If you want to get far in the world of international pop music, you'll inevitably have to consider recording in English, even if that's not your native tongue (as francophone Céline Dion can testify). The same may be coming true of Spanish. Sony Music executives see enough of a market in Latin America and parts of the United States for Spanish-language tunes that they have asked Delta Goodrem — a superstar in her native Australia but relatively unknown in the United States — to record in Spanish. She hasn't said yes yet, as her top priority is a fully recovery from cancer, but a Sony spokesman says she has expressed a willingness to lean the Spanish words and intonation to her songs.
