Puerto Rico reconsiders language issue

Lawmakers in Puerto Rico are considering a bill that would make Spanish the commonwealth's only official language. Current law recognizes both English and Spanish as official. Supporters of the change point out that the vast majority of Puerto Ricans don't understand English, and even fewer speak it on a regular basis.
