Spanish language seen as growing but still facing pressure

The Spanish language will come up against three types of pressure in the coming years, writes Eduardo Villar in the Argentine newspaper Clarín. They are 1) the growth of the Internet and information technologies from places other than Spain or Latin America, 2) the tension between the Spanish of individual countries and the need to have a language that is understood by all Spanish speakers, and 3) the friction and interplay between Spanish and English.
