¿Vacacíon de relax?

Wednesday August 6, 2003
From the forum: "I usually find Spanglish quite amusing, and actually enjoy using words like e-mail and Internet in Spanish. But I don't like Spanglish when it seems unnecessary, when a Spanish word or term already exists and the English is used to sound más cool. I just got an e-mail, describing some great deal on a hotel, here's an excerpt: 'Vacaciones en familia, en pareja, de relax, aventura, cultural, deporte, fitness ....' It's the word relax that bugs me. Why couldn't they use descansa or another Spanish term? I don't want a vacación de relax, thank you very much." Join the discussion...
