Salvador band to release first Spanish CD

One might think that a band going by the name of Salvador (Spanish for "Savior") whose leader has Mexican roots would be one that performs in Spanish. Not so — until now. Band leader Nicolas Gonzales, a bilingual fourth-generation Texan, says the band will release its first Spanish-language song, "Con poder," next month. But even though Gonzales is has Mexican roots, don't expect norteño or a mariachi style; the song has a decidedly salsa beat. Read more...
