Mexican pop star hopes for crossover stardom

Céline Dion started recording music in French, then successfully crossed over the English-language market with a string of hits. Shakira did the same from her Spanish-language roots. Now Thalia, a Mexican pop sensation, hopes its her turn. Thalia, who was born Ariadna Thalia Sodi Miranda in Mexico City 31 years ago, has at least two things going for her: she has talent, and she's married to a Sony music executive. Read more...
